Registered charity 1039160 · Fownhope, Herefordshire
A local charity, paid for by donations, funding the kind of care at Fownhope Medical Centre that most surgeries simply don’t offer.

Patients can collect a dispensed prescription at a time that suits them, without queueing and without having to fit around dispensary opening hours. Very few practices anywhere have one.

The van was bought outright by the Trust and is out on the road every day, taking prescriptions to people who can’t easily get to the dispensary. When the old vehicle finally gave up, it was the Trust that kept the round running.

A monthly group, open to anyone who has lost someone, with around twelve people at each session. The Trust pays for the hall, the booklets and leaflets, the insurance and the training behind it. When the surgery meets other practices in the county, no one else has anything quite like it.
We’re asking because we want to carry on funding equipment and services that patients here wouldn’t get anywhere else. Everything on this page exists because local people paid for it, and whatever comes next will be paid for the same way.
The Trust has no staff, no premises and no overheads, so every pound given is spent on patient care at Fownhope.
Get in touch if you’d like to donate, if you’re thinking of raising money for the Trust, if you can offer help in some other way, or if you have a question about anything the Trust has funded.
